What is VST?

VST is a series of live, all-vinyl DJ sets hosted inside record stores across Portland and beyond. It’s not just about spinning records—it’s about bringing the music back to where it lives.

This isn’t a club night.
It’s not a traditional show.

It’s a pop-up experience rooted in culture, community, and discovery.

Expect a wide range of sounds—Hip Hop, of course—but also funk, soul, R&B, boogie, and beyond. The freedom of vinyl opens the door to go wherever the feeling takes us.

At its core, this is a shared vision between DJs who understand the value of the record—both as a format and as a cultural artifact.

Phase One: Portland

We’re kicking things off with a run of in-store sessions across some of Portland’s key record shops:

April 18 – 503 Records (Record Store Day) | 12–4PM
May 2 – Speck’s Records | 2–4PM
May 16 – Prospector Records | 2–4PM

Each stop is intentionally intimate. You’re not just watching—you’re in it. Digging, listening, building community in real time.

More Than a Tour

VST is just the beginning.

The long-term vision is to expand this into:

• More record stores across the city (and beyond)

• Guest DJs joining select stops

• Possible evolution into curated event nights and larger gatherings

• Brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that align with the culture

This is about creating something sustainable, scalable, and rooted in authenticity.
